It’s time to work out 🏋️‍♀️🤺🤸‍♂️ Australia is silently suffering from an obesity epidemic. With 1 in 4 Australian children now either obese or overweight and nearly 2 thirds of adults overweight or obese it’s time to take action.

These are scary statistics which can be avoided with education on healthy eating and exercise.

Being obese or overweight leads to an increased risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease to name a few.

So the next time you’re thinking about spending the day indoors grazing in front of Netflix why not take a walk outside, enjoy some of the beautiful sites and fresh fruit and veg Australia has to offer.

What did you have for breakfast this morning?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It kick starts your metabolism after the overnight fast and replaces your energy stores to help get you going for the day ahead.

I like starting my day with a healthy bowl of porridge. 🥣 Oats are packed with nutrients, from iron to folate and are high in fiber which means they’ll keep me full until lunchtime, helping to avoid that mid morning slump.

Don’t be like Ken. Ken skipped breakfast this morning 🤦‍♂️ Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It kicks starts your metabolism after the overnight fast and replaces your energy stores to help get you going for the day ahead.

By having a healthy breakfast which could include whole grain cereals, porridge and fresh fruit or boiled eggs, you ensure that your getting beneficial nutrients. Having breakfast regularly also helps to stabilise your blood sugar levels and improve your memory and concentration so that when lunchtime hits, you’re not struggling like our mate Ken.
