Definitely not! Sea water contains a high amount of salt which means that if consumed, our body will have to work even harder to get rid of it. The kidneys would have to produce more urine until eventually we would become dehydrated leading to fatal consequences.
However, if you are stuck in the middle of the sea and don’t have access to fresh water, you could boil some sea water, capture the steam and condense it back into water so you’re effectively getting rid of the salt.
If you’re out on your boat this weekend, be sure to pack plenty of fresh water 💦. Ps. It was a Police boat 👮♀️ Take care and stay healthy 😘
We may be coming into winter but that doesn’t mean you should stop looking after your skin.
In fact during these cooler climates it’s important to pay more attention to your skin as it may dry and crack. Regularly moisturise to keep your skin supple and hydrated and don’t forget the sun block for days when the UV index is 3 or higher. And of course, great skin comes from within so make sure you keep yourself well hydrated with plenty of water.
Looking forward to treating the good people of Whitsundays this week.
There hasn’t been a female doctor at this practice before so if you’ve been putting off your smear test or you’re after advice on family planning, a skin check or even cosmetic injectables, now’s your chance to book in.
Every day horror stories are published in the news about botched lips following dodgy lip filler procedures. Common themes tend to be inexperienced injectors and not understanding facial anatomy.
Other than being an art form, cosmetic injectables are also a science. The face carries a number of important vessels, which, if injected with filler can cause complications such as skin tissue death. This can be avoided by choosing an injector who understands where all of these vessels lie, how deep to inject the product and how to deal with such complications if they happen. And of course how to keep those lips looking gorgeous at the same time.💋 So if you’re thinking about having fillers this weekend, I’m encouraging you all to do your due diligence and research a fully qualified trained cosmetic practitioner to keep your lips as happy, healthy and sexy as these ones. 👄
Another successful weekend teaching delegates @dermamedicalaustralia advanced cosmetics course in Brisbane. 👌
Being a non-surgical injectables trainer puts me in a privileged position to seriously advocate the risks involved and the safest methods of injecting. Helping to contribute to a new generation of safe cosmetic injectable physicians.
I had a fantastic time teaching my colleagues and working alongside the amazing team. I wish the delegates the best of luck for your future cosmetic careers.
