You may often think dermal fillers of dermal fillers with female patients but did you know that men can also have fillers? If you’re looking for defined cheekbones and a chiselled jaw line or even a more defined contour then cheek fillers are a great easy non-invasive option.
The method of injecting used was different to the traditional approach taken for most females, as I took to inject laterally into the face to avoid feminisation.
For this treatment I used 1ml of dermal filler in each cheek. As you can see his cheeks are now more defined but there is also a reduction of his nasolabial folds (laughter lines) due to the uplifting effect of the filler giving a more youthful appearance.
As the filler sets over 4 weeks, the model will notice a prominence of the cheek filler. This treatment is expected to last 12-18 months and if a top up is desired a repeat treatment can be done after 2 weeks using the same product.

Today I treated a male patient who was very eager on boosting the volume on his upper cheeks. I used 2ml of dermal filler to create a smooth transition from the lower eyelid area to the cheek itself. While high cheekbones tend to be a more desirable feature on women, treating this area for men reduces the amount of hollowness which can create a healthier appearance.
