In this episode we take a listen to the heart during the ‘extreme’ stress of cosmetic injections.
As we get ready for injecting, our model’s sympathetic nervous system starts to kick into play, otherwise known as his 'fight or flight’. This causes a number of changes to the body due to the release of chemicals from the brain such as adrenaline and cortisol. This impacts his heart making it beat stronger and faster and increases his respiratory rate just to name a few changes. Dermal filler placed strategically along the cheeks can help to give definition and contouring to the face. It also creates an up lifting effect to the lower facial features and can help reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the mouth).
