CPR Now Kit | Unboxing and Demonstration #SaveALife

Everybody may hate doing cardio, but trust me learning how to do CPR aka CARDIO-pulmonary resuscitation ;) is not only fun, but a life saving skill to have.

In this video I unbox and demonstrate the CPR Now training kit I received at my the CEMP workshop I attended in Brisbane.

CEMP Workshops | Where you learn how to #SAVEALIFE

As a newly transferred GP from the UK, you need to complete a mandatory CEMP (clinical emergency management program) course. Join me as I drive up to Brisbane’s QUT for an 8 hour workshop on BLS (basic life support) and ALS (advanced life support).

FUN TIPS

- You get a CPR Now kit which includes your own annie! - In case you don’t know an annie is a training dummy to test your CPR skills on.

- In the UK this training is a mandatory yearly 2 hour course.

- Australia is beautiful.

- New fellows get a discount for the course (as of date of publication).

- The library at QUT is open 9-5pm on a Saturday.

MORE ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The Clinical Emergency Management Program (CEMP) Intermediate workshops have been designed to build participants’ knowledge, skills and confidence when responding to medical emergencies. This workshop includes CPR practice and assessment, which meets the 2017–2019 triennium basic CPR course requirement. It also meets the basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) training requirements for general practice registrars and RACGP Fellowship. These workshops are facilitated by a national team of highly trained intensive care paramedics. The course is developed by GPs in collaboration with qualified paramedic professionals who have many years experience teaching emergency medicine.
