With over 19,000 Australians dying of smoking related diseases each year, making a change to stop smoking this year is a great goal.

Did you know that when you stop smoking a number of positive impacts happen to your body? Within 24 hours blood levels of Carbon Monoxide are dramatically reduced, meaning more oxygen can reach vital organs. With long term smoking cessation over 10 years, the risk of lung cancer is less than half that of person who continues to smoke.

It’s never too late to make a positive change to your body. Please pop by and see me in clinic for information and help.

Take care and stay healthy 😘

New year, new you!

There are lots of good reasons to stop smoking 🚬

Did you know smoking increases your risk of heart attacks, strokes, lung cancer and lung disease just to name a few.

But it’s never too late to stop 🚭

Just 1 year after you stop smoking your risk of a heart attack drops sharply, at 2-5 years of quitting smoking your risk of stroke may reduce to that of a non-smoker and 10 years after quitting, your risk of lung cancer drops by a half.

There’s a lot of help and support for anybody wishing to stop. Book in to see me today for more information.

Let’s make 2018 be the start of a smoke free life.

Take care & stay healthy 😊
