How do you protect your skin in summer? 🌞

With temperatures hotting up and public holidays in sight, what better way to spend the summer outside by the beach, catching up with a few friends over a barbie or getting your adrenaline fix at the theme parks.

Just remember whilst we have this glorious weather, the UV index is at an all time high with average readings over 10. Exposure to such high levels can lead to ageing of the skin, which means wrinkles, but more importantly it increases your chance of developing nasty skin cancer. So this summer, stay sun smart and regularly apply sunblock at least spf 30+ as well as popping on a hat, sunnies and protective clothing.

If we spend too much time fixating on this we can often get into a negative spiral, taking our focus and energy away from where it should be.

So how about refocusing on what’s best for you and not the advertisers. You can start by thinking of 1 goal that you want to achieve today and one that you want to avoid. This will help align yourself on what’s good for you and what’s bad for you.

For me I’d like to spend one hour today practicing a new piano piece and avoid take-away food.
