Coffee has always been a subject of debate. However, if you do like to reach for your morning coffee, then research has shown that coffee consumption may be associated with a reduced risk of several chronic diseases.
But, larger amounts of coffee can have adverse effects on the body, such as anxiety, restlessness, insomnia and an increased heart rate. Additionally, if you fill up your coffee cup with whipped cream or flavoured syrup then you will almost certainly be reducing any health benefits from the bean.
Recommended caffeine consumption varies from each individual so be sure to ask your own medical doctor for advice and whether it’s safe of you.
After a quick exercise regime, I usually kick start my day with a skinny cappuccino. ☕️ After decades of research the World Health Organisation (WHO) have removed coffee off the possible carcinogen list and there’s increasing evidence that it can have positive impacts on health. The WHO have designated coffee as potentially being protective against cancer of the uterus and liver. 🤓
Though, as with every good thing, it does need to be drunk in moderation as drinking over 4 cups a day can actually increase your risk of heart disease, cause high blood pressure and fast or abnormal heart rhythms. And having your coffee too hot can burn your food pipe leading to other medical consequences.
