Sometimes, giving a girl flowers is not the best thing especially if they have hay fever 🌺
Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 Australians suffer from hay fever at some point in their lives. It is more common if there is a family history of allergies, especially asthma or eczema. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose or itchy eyes.
Treatment usually takes the form of anti-histamine tablets that can be brought from the chemist. However always seek advice from your doctor if you are concerned.
It’s Sunday, which means it’s time for me to look after my fabulous patients in Southport.
From basic check ups, to contraception consults to mental health, there’s always a great variety coming through my door that always keeps me on my feet.
So if you’re in the area and need a check up, be sure to pop by. Wishing you all a great weekend. 🌸
If you have an ache or a pain, or have noticed an unusual lump recently make sure you put your health first. Consultations can either be done by telephone or face to face if a physical examination is required.
This World Health Day is dedicated to celebrating the work of nurses and midwives around the world. 🌏
Throughout my career nurses and midwives have always played an integral part to looking after patients. Not only do they look after patients but they also look after us doctors too! Back when I was a junior doctor I had some fond memories of being bleeped by the nurses on a night shift to attend to patients and after seeing the patients, the friendly nursing staff would always offer me a cup of tea and a biscuit.
Thank you for your ongoing high quality of care and respect that you provide us all.
