Did you know that condoms aren’t as effective as the pill or coil?
Recent research has shown that women aged 16-24 years are more likely to only use barrier contraception, which can lead to unplanned and unwanted pregnancies, and can cause emotional turmoil.
Keeping up to date with new evidence and research is a vital part of my job as a General Practitioner. There are plenty of safe and reliable forms of birth control, if you would like more information please do come by and see me in clinic. Remember, although condoms may not be the best in birth control they are the best are reducing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.

One of my specialties is family planning and a common question that all ladies ask is ‘what is the coil and how does it work?’ In the video available soon at - drnora.com/youtube - I go into detail on the hormonal based IUDs available here as the Mirena, and non-hormonal copper based IUDs, the benefits, the risks, the concerns to be aware of and more.
You can also always drop by and see me in clinic if you want to have a chat 😃
