This World Diabetes Day I’m encouraging you to come in and check your risk of developing this serious medical condition.
Type 2 diabetes is a rapidly growing national problem. 100,000 Australians developed diabetes in the past year and type 2 diabetes accounts for around 85% of all diabetes. There are over 1 million Australians who have type 2 diabetes.
Early identification and management of people with type 2 diabetes is very important. Thirst, lethargy, change in weight and passing urine frequently are some of the common symptoms of diabetes. Checking your risk for diabetes is simple and quick and can be done with your GP.
If you have any questions or concerns about diabetes or would like to have your risk checked pop by and see me in clinic today.
Being a responsible cosmetic doctor, I always make sure to test out the latest cosmetic treatments before offering them to my patients. This time I tried truSculpt ID, a new body sculpting machine that uses Radiofrequency Energy to reduce up to 24% of stubborn fat in just 15 minutes with additional skin tightening.
Be sure to check out the treatment video going live on youtube.com/drnora soon.
I love eating healthy and I truly believe that healthy eating leads to a healthy mind and body.
Today I’m having a salmon and avocado salad. Salmon is rich in omega 3 fatty oils which is fantastic for the brain, mood and vision. It’s also high in protein and loaded with other essential minerals. Avocado is also full to the brim with healthy fats and vitamins. These are all essential for a healthy heart and general wellbeing.
Lunch doesn’t have to be fancy, just chop up a few bits and pieces and bon appétit 👌
If you’ve been putting off a skin check, forgot to get your prescription, want to chat about birth control or even fancy a freshen up with some cosmetic injectables, be sure to book in today.
Wishing you all a fantastic weekend and looking forward to seeing you in clinic next week. 🎉
