Had a great time teaching this weekend’s delegates at @dermamedicalaustralia foundation and advanced course in Sydney.
We covered the top 18 cosmetic injectable procedures from anti-wrinkle treatment of the face, to cheek and lip fillers to treating hyperhidrosis (excess underarm sweating). It was a pleasure teaching delegates of different medical backgrounds including a psychiatrist, plastic surgeon, neurologist, registered nurses and doctors. And of course, not forgetting working alongside the incredible team.👌 I wish the delegates the very best of luck in your future cosmetic careers.

3% of Australians suffer from excess sweating (known as hyperhidrosis). That means sweating through your clothes with no apparent reason. This can be distressing and uncomfortable and may affect the armpits, hands, feet or face.
It’s important that if you do suffer from this, you seek the opinion of a medical practitioner to confirm the diagnosis as it may sometimes be related to an underlying medical condition.
Options for treatment include, psychological therapies, over the counter rollers or sprays and prescribed medication or surgery as a last resort.
Antiwrinkle injections have also been found to be effective in treating hyperhidrosis of the under arm area. They work by stopping the sympathetic nerves from stimulating the sweat glands.
You can expect treatment to last from 6-9 months meaning you can have a comfortable summer break. 🌞

Who needs a surgical face lift when you’ve got fillers?
This lovely lady has started her facial transformation journey with the aid of dermal fillers and the results are on point 👌
Here I’ve injected filler along the jaw line to bring definition back and lift the lower face, which is an incredible result despite using a baby dose of 0.5ml on each side!
I always encourage my patients to take slow and steady steps when it comes to cosmetic injectables as it’s much easier to add filler than to remove it!
