Who felt happy that after leaving school or university you never had to ‘learn’ again?
I remember this exact feeling until I realised that in reality we never stop learning. From job experience, to self-directed study or even watching YouTube videos we are constantly absorbing information.
Continuing to learn throughout life has many benefits, such as improving your confidence, fighting boredom and keeping your brain active and sharp which has been shown to help reduce the risk of memory issues such as Dementia later in life.
Anxiety, depression, substance misuse and eating disorders are just some of the common mental health problems that affect many of us. In fact over half the population will experience a mental disorder at some point in their lives.
Don’t suffer alone. There’s a wealth of help out there, from psychological therapies, support groups, coaching groups, medication and so much more.
