Did you know that almost 2 in 3 Australians are overweight or obese. Having a large waistline increases your risk of heart disease which is currently the leading cause of death in Australia. Men should aim for a waistline of under 37 inches and women under 31.5 inches.

Making changes to reduce your waist can be simple and easy. Start by picking up the pace when you’re shopping for groceries or switch your midday donut for a healthy apple and ditch the weekly takeaway for a monthly treat.

Let’s change the statistics and beat obesity together. 💪

Severe Heat Warning ☀🔥☀ After the past week of intense flooding and rain, the skies are opening up to give us Queenslanders a hot end to summer. Temperatures are set to soar and the UV index will be hitting up to 14, so it’s time to get sun smart.

Be sure to slip on sun protective clothing, slop on sunblock spf 30+, slap on a broad brimmed hat, seek shade and slide on wrap around glasses.

And remember to stay out of the sun during peak times from 10am to 3pm to reduce your risk of sun exposure and skin cancer in the future.
