Whether we aspire to hold a kingdom or seek adventure and thrills in life, we all have choices that contribute to how our lives pan out.
By realising the power of decision making we can sculpt our outlook, making us more organised and goal orientated. As an example, earlier this year I chose to work on my passion of delivering educational and interesting videos to a wider community on YouTube. I set aside one day a week for filming and editing and have managed to grow my channel 6 fold with viewers from around the world. Although our choices in life may take perseverance and hard work, it’s important not to give up. 💪
It’s official, research has shown that taking a selfie can have a positive impact on our mental health. It allows us to self reflect and recognise ourselves as well as being able to feel more confident and comfortable in our own skin. I had a great time getting my selfie dose with the lovely Shamilla our local pharmacist and medical student 💖
Remember, always selfie in moderation as too much of anything can be bad.
During isolation it can be easy to fall into a trap of binge watching TV whilst grazing on food, or scrolling mindlessly through the internet, which will all set you back on your goals and ambitions.
Why not put aside 30 minutes every day to prioritise something that you’ve always wanted to do but never had time to. It could be baking a healthy treat, learning a new hobby or even just washing the carpets. That way, you’ll still get to enjoy the benefits of time off whilst keeping yourself motivated.
For me, I’m choosing this time to write some memoires. 🖊️📖 Take care and stay healthy 😘
The best part about social distancing is that, not only do you help save lives, but you get to spend time reconnecting with the people and things that you love.
My furry friend here is sending you all positive vibes. 💖
My top tip to help your mental health today is to remember that the news is incentivised to keep you watching. Whilst it is important to get information about the situation, being over-exposed to large amounts of the same information can be very taxing.
