This Australia Day don’t get struck down with food poisoning and follow some simple tips to help keep you and your belly happy.
Be sure to cook your meat thoroughly until it’s piping hot with clear juices. If you like your meat rare, cook the outside of the meat well so that any bacteria can be killed off. 🍗
One of the commonest reasons of food poisoning is cross contamination from raw meat to cooked meat. Store your raw meat separately from your cooked meat and use different utensils when dealing with either.
For those cold salads and dips don’t leave them in the sun for more than two hours.
If you do have symptoms of a tummy ache such as diarrhoea or vomiting drink plenty of water, rest up and see your local family doctor.
Wishing you all a happy Australia Day.🇦🇺 Take care and stay healthy 😘
With temperatures hotting up and public holidays in sight, what better way to spend the summer outside by the beach, catching up with a few friends over a barbie or getting your adrenaline fix at the theme parks.
Just remember whilst we have this glorious weather, the UV index is at an all time high with average readings over 10. Exposure to such high levels can lead to ageing of the skin, which means wrinkles, but more importantly it increases your chance of developing nasty skin cancer. So this summer, stay sun smart and regularly apply sunblock at least spf 30+ as well as popping on a hat, sunnies and protective clothing.
Don’t drink and drive because it won’t just be the police after you… it’ll be your GP too.
The recommended amount of alcohol consumption on any given day is no more than 2 standard drinks. Drinking more than this can cause harm from alcohol related disease or injury.
So stop, because you have the right to remain healthy 👮♀️ Take care and stay healthy x
It’s not just a camera… In this hands on review we hit the beach for some exercise to see if the health tracking features have improved at all over the previous generations.
