As the year is fast approaching its end, it’s time to think about goals and ambitions for 2023.
My top tip for succeeding in achieving those goals is to choose something that is realistic. Very often we challenge ourselves too high and when we are unable to reach that expectation we get less motivated and give up. So instead, break down your goal into manageable chunks to achieve over a period of time.
My goal this year is to be more active outdoors and embrace the amazing views we have over here on the Gold Coast.
Let me know what your goals are for 2023 below. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.
Sometimes without realising we fall into a midweek slump, loosing focus on our goals. Here are some of my tips to keep you on track and ready for the weekend.
- Try something different in your day to renew your energy, such as having a different meal or doing a different activity.
- Reflect on the past few days but don’t let them define what you make of the rest of the week.
- Plan an activity to look forward to on the weekend.
- Have a chat with some friends that you wouldn’t usually.
Let me know your tips below. Wishing you all a fabulous remainder of the week.
With severe weather warnings in place for heavy rain, damaging winds and flash flooding make sure that you are safe this week.
Roads are slippery when wet, so if you need to drive, do so cautiously and slowly with your lights on. Similarly, take care if you are walking as the risk of slips and falls are more likely in wet weather.
As our firefighters continue the heroic job of containing bushfires, many people may be affected by smoke.
Signs of smoke irritation include itchy eyes, sore throat, runny nose and coughing. Those with pre-existing medical conditions such as asthma may have worsened symptoms of wheezing, chest tightness and difficulty breathing. If this is you it is very important to continue your prescribed medication and seek medical help.
To reduce your exposure, stay indoors and close the windows and doors. If you are using an air conditioner switch it to recycle or recirculate to reduce the smoke indoors.
