Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed with New Years resolutions, feeling the financial strain or are simply stressed, speaking to someone can help with thinking clearly and achieving realistic goals.
If you or a family member is affected by mental health you could be entitled to a mental health care plan under Medicare which allows you to speak with a psychologist.

Volunteering.. it’s free, it’s fun and it’s fulfilling!
One of the proudest moments I’ve had this year was when I was a volunteer doctor for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. It allowed me to meet new people and engage with different cultures as well as provide a beneficial service.
We’re so lucky, in Queensland there are some great initiatives out there that are desperately in need of volunteers. From being a Bunnings BBQ volunteer, to Christmas gift wrapper for the Leukaemia Foundation, to volunteering for the Cerebral Palsy League’s upcoming show, there’s plenty out there!
Whether it’s an hour of your time, or a weekend, by volunteering you get the opportunity to socialise with new people as well as lending a helping hand. All of which feel very satisfactory and leave a positive impact on mental health.
If you have any concerns or would like to find out more please pop by and see me in clinic.
You can’t win the race without looking after your feet! #GC600 🏎
Feet need regular maintenance to keep them healthy, from good footwear to recognising skin problems such as fungal infections to corn or calluses, there’s a whole lot more to feet!
Similarly if your feet feel numb or cold then it’s worthwhile getting them checked by a doctor as sometimes this can be related to diabetes or other serious health conditions.
In aid of foot health week, spend a few minutes this supercar weekend looking after your tootsies👟👠 As always if you have any concerns or questions pop by and see me in clinic.
