I love eating healthy and I truly believe that healthy eating leads to a healthy mind and body.

Today I’m having a salmon and avocado salad. Salmon is rich in omega 3 fatty oils which is fantastic for the brain, mood and vision. It’s also high in protein and loaded with other essential minerals. Avocado is also full to the brim with healthy fats and vitamins. These are all essential for a healthy heart and general wellbeing.

Lunch doesn’t have to be fancy, just chop up a few bits and pieces and bon appétit 👌

What did you have for breakfast this morning?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It kick starts your metabolism after the overnight fast and replaces your energy stores to help get you going for the day ahead.

I like starting my day with a healthy bowl of porridge. 🥣 Oats are packed with nutrients, from iron to folate and are high in fiber which means they’ll keep me full until lunchtime, helping to avoid that mid morning slump.

Well you’re not alone. 20% of the Australian population suffer from seasonal allergic rhinitis also known as hayfever.

A lot of patients will self medicate with over the counter medications but did you know only 85% of people make the right choice?

Symptoms can be managed effectively with either an antihistamine, nasal sprays, nasal rinses or a combination. Be sure to avoid any triggers such as pollen which in Queensland can be all year round but reaches its peak from January to March. For patients who have severe or prolonged symptoms more specialist treatment will be advised.
